Yay or Nay? // Yoga

I think it is safe to say that I have a slight yoga obsession. I think it all started when I first when vegetarian when I was 11 and was this "spiritual journey." hahaha

Anyways, like half of the world after new years I told myself that I need to try to be more active. This is my goal not my resolution for the new year. I wanted to take baby steps towards getting more active as well as chose something that I can actually stick with.

I've always loved practicing yoga as a form of exercise and mediation. My favorites types of yoga is Vinyasa and Bikram yoga.

What is Vinyasa?
Definition provided from Lululemon
Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow.

What is Bikram?
Definition provided from Lululemon
Bikram consists of a set of 26 poses and two breathing exercises. This style is practiced in a heated room well above body temperature (approx. 40.6 degrees Celsius or 105 degrees Fahrenheit).

I've been going to yoga on a daily basis for the past few weeks and I definitely feel a different in my body and mind. I'm much more relaxed and I don't have as much tension in my body. Of course, I would recommend yoga to anyone looking to de-stress or looking for a challenging workout like Bikram yoga.
