Book Review // Grace's Guide Book The Art of Pretending to Be an Adult

Hello Everyone,

I hope you're doing well. After about a month of this book collecting dust on my bookcase. I finally got around to doing a book review.

I've been watching Grace for over two years on Youtube and I was so excited when she announced that she would be releasing a book.

Official website: Grace's Guide: The Art of Pretending to be a Grown-up

Be sure to check her channel, it is definitely worth a look.

So first a little background on the author of this lovely book.

Grace Helbig is a vlogger on Youtube, a comedian, and an actress. Her Youtube channel, it's Grace have over a million subscribers and she makes videos from. Before it's Grace on Youtube, she had the channel DailyGrace with My Damn Channel and in 2014 she left DailyGrace and created It's Grace that immediately took off with the support of her loyal subscribers for her previous channel.

She also starred in the movie, Camp Takota (which you should definitely check out!! It's about a woman (Helbig) that finds out that her finance has been cheating on her and going away to Camp Takota (hence the title) to get away and ends up making true friendsships and maybe even a potiential love interest. (cough..cough..)

First off let me just say there book was absolutely hilarious but actually helpful at the same time. I wasn't sure what to expect the overall tone of the book to be since most people know Grace to be quite funny and not very serious. She shares some personal stores which we don't get to on her Youtube channel. The book is broken up into sections or chapter ranging from "How to Get Over a Breakup" to "How to Spend Time by Yourself" (I'm not kidding there is really is a chapter about that!)

I thought the book was funny, witty and a down right good. I don't know how many adjectives I can possibly use to describe this book but it was great. This book can easily be read in a day or over the course of the few days before you go to bed.

This book would be great to give as a present to people, both men and women. I personally would give this as a gift to my friends or my siblings because I think regardless of whether you know who Grace Helbig, anyone can find this book relate able  in some way.
